Here is our weekend in a nut shell minus the airplane ride on Friday and Sunday. We went to meet our family for a very special occasion, a wedding, what a FUN time we had. The only down fall was how fast it went.

1 month later!

Well Ike has come and gone and our area is really getting back to normal now. Down by our boat it is much impoved, huge rubbish piles, boats still misplaced but overall much improved. All of the restaurant bottom levels are gone on the main boardwalk and the boardwalk itself is gone but it appears the top floors made out ok. They have done a lot of clean up already and one of the restaurants even has new drywall going in already.

My Little Pumpkin!!

What fun we had at the Pumpkin Patch. Grandma, as always was such a good sport!!! We all met for breakfast, then went to the Patch.... what a fantastic day! Mikayla is very excited that she rode a tractor (technically pulled by one but that's ok) and she loves her pumpkin and wants to eat it.

I couldn't help it!!!

Well when you see the pic below.... please understand this outfit has been hanging in the closet for at least a month... I know it's very Halloweenish.... it is October after all. It was cooler than usual this morning so I just couldn't help it!!!! Here's my goolish gal!!! I just hope it doesn't get up to 90 today!!!

The "Scrap-a-thon"

Last weekend was our big scrap weekend. Below is what I created for the different challenges. The voting is still taking place, I'll post what wins if anything.

This is from the swap challenge, we had to use something we've received in a swap, I used the altered puzzle pieces.


This layout is the "Paint chip" layout. Although for me the real challenge was the wild paper, I'm trying to step outside and try different things..... it was a true challenge but I'm happy with it, I think....




This is the color challenge, can you guess what color I represented? I absolutely love this layout, it's too bad I can't show you this paper, the background leaves are all a shimery foil type print, it's beautiful!!


This is the button challenge, I had to use a minimum of 15 buttons, I used 19!! :) oh a side note to my private button supplier.... I'm almost completely out of the ones you sent previously (hint hint) :)

For this one I hand cut the tree trunk, covered it with fiber and hand wound the craft string around it, I am really happy with the way it turned out.



Here is the negative space challenge, it IS a challenge to leave empty space. My two matching bed heads!!!
