Thanksgiving 2016

Whew!!  What a wonderfully busy, fun, and family filled weekend we had!

 

More of Michaels New York family came!! It was SOOOO good to see them.  Actually, it's the first time in yearS that we were all together for Thanksgiving.  Probably the last time for us was when we lived in New York almost 16 years ago!

The day was wonderful outside - the kids swam for 1/2 of it!  HA!! 

The dog wanted to swim too.... BAD!!!!

 

HAAAAA he made it in!!!!

 

The day after Thanksgiving all the ladies went for mani/pedi and shopping fun.  All of the guys went golfing.

 

We had some time while we waited for the guys to make it back.  Here's my best gal!

Birthday Party #1

Mikayla got a horrible case of the stomach virus that has been going around.  She missed two days of school before Thanksgiving break.  (Boy did we pay the school workload price for that!  ouch) She slept for over 20 hours almost straight - poor thing really was sick!

So - because of this we had to shuffle her birthday party around.  We broke it into two days/weekends instead of all in one.

We were able to meet up with our local family group at Red Robin for a fun filled lunch!! We were loud - it was a LOT of fun!!!!

Mikayla got me to agree to let her open one of her gifts...the catch was it was my pick what she got to open, I'm saving the good stuff for tonight.

Cheery Outlook

The cheerleaders have been very busy lately.   From soccer games, to assembly, to sports banquet and then the pep rally!  whew!

 

I think Mikayla is having a BLAST!!!!   It is hard work being a school spirit leader!

 

 

 

 

The teddy bear below is going to be up for raffle.....I think I'd have to get rid of a couch for him to fit.... LOL!  It took three grown women to carry him off stage!  LOL

Provey comes to town

Michael's childhood friend nicknamed Provey came to town last week.  We had SO much fun.  We puttered around and ended up in Kemah and for the first time in the 15 years that we've lived here....we went on the Boardwalk Beast boat ride.  It's very expensive but OH MY was it fun!!!

 

Mikayla and I say.... sail boat..... forget that - let's get a motor boat!

 

We have been working SOOOOO hard lately... Mikayla with school, my work has been exceptionally busy and Michael's work is never ending too....so it was a much needed fun play day!

It was SO MUCH FUN!  Michael was so happy to have been able to spend some time with him.  We check in on him every year we go to Destin, so it was kind of fun to be on our stomping grounds this time.  :)

 

 

It was good....really really good!  We can't wait until he comes back!
