100 Year Celebration

Today we celebrated Grandma's 100th birthday. Her "real" birthday is in a couple of weeks but we wanted to celebrate it all together when everyone was here for Thanksgiving. It really was special. She was so touched, we were all so touched. There were a lot of tears today - happy tears though.

Grandma right before the birthday song..... she is such an amazing woman. We did catch some glimpses of the woman she used to be. We are all pretty blessed to come from such a special woman.

She was touched.... she even cried.... making every woman in the vicinity cry too.... such a touching moment. We are all better people for knowing her!

And here is the super star of the day (besides my dad for cooking such a delicious meal).... Janet...she single handed..... all by herself without falling asleep either .... put the kiddos down for naps... BOTH of them.... one at a time and yay for that fact!!! Way to go Janet!!!!!

What a fantastic weekend!!!!

We had so much fun. Mark, Vicki, Seth, Chrissie and Robb are all in town. We got together for dinner and some boating fun. Some princesses even stopped in.... aren't they pretty with their crowns?

Well.... we had an issue with the boat.... this issue made the following sequence of pictures happen.... (The model with the harness is Robb..... he totally rocks) (we did have to provide ice later one for... um..... areas that may or may not have had an issue) (again you'll see what I may or may not be suggesting with the sequence of pictures)

Yup, he went up the mast and back down again...all for this gem..... the one clipped to the green line, we lost it last time we were on the boat and have to have that clip and line in order to use the main sail.... so PHEW, thanks a bunch Robb!!!!!

Now we were able to go out for a ride, granted we didn't have as much wind as we would have liked, we were able to have a nice easy sail :)

My Little Turkey!!

Today was Mikayla's school Thanksgiving Day celebration. The kids are SOOOO stinkin cute! I love it. I loved being able to go to her celebration with her. They had set up a bunch of tables and decorated for the parents to be able to come and have a turkey dinner with them complete with mashed potatoes and green beans, it was quite tasty!!

Mikaya was soooooo excited to see me. While she was in line she kept whispering to me.... "I love you mommy" and she'd say "hi mommy".... it was sooooo awesome!! I live for days like this!! Then we came home and had a nice nap... here are some pictures and a video at the end :)

The celebration continues

My litle girl had a blast.... first Chuck E Cheese party....then a party at Katie's house.... today is her school party, complete with a cupcake cake and goody bags... WOW!!! It's awesome to turn four. Yesterday morning, as she was riding along in her big girl car seat (booster seat), she told me that now that she's four..... everything is sooooo different! She's a hoot!!!!

Our Disney on Ice experience

This was sooooo special for us. We took Mikayla to Disney on Ice 100th year celebration. They did mini vignettes of some popular Disney movies and I was blown away by how real it was…the skating was awesome! The props were outstanding... the costumes WOW!!!! I will forever be a fan of anything Disney on Ice!!!

It was such an incredibly special day for me. We had one of those “moments” that totally stole my breath away and gave me (still gives me) happy tears just seeing how incredibly happy and excited and into the moment she was. At one point during the show, she looked at me and I just saw straight into her heart exactly how she felt and how happy, excited, thrilled, amazed, and full of love she was and she just said “thank you”……. That moment in time totally stood still and was one I will never forget. I have seen her happy and having a great time…. But this was truly something magical!!!! Here is some of what we saw.

There was a lot more :) You'll just have to go see it, I very highly recommend it. here's my little blue mouthed (from a drink) Cinderella.... oh and what was the one souvenir my girl picked out....... well..... a sword.... yup, my girl can sword fight now LOL!!!
