The Tooth Fairy comes.....

So who knew this would be the last picture EVER of Little Miss having all of her baby teeth.....

I would say less than 2 minutes after that picture.... while she was eating her birthday cupcake.... her tooth came out!

Here is her fancy glass where her "fancy" tooth fairy will collect it from...

The TOOTH FAIRY CAME!!!!! She has her very own personal entry way and when she reached into the glass to get the tooth, some of the color from her dress tinted the water and her pixy dust was floating in there too....

She even got a teeny tiny note from the Tooth Fairy..... how special!!! The fairy told her how she danced around her room and was so excited to be able to come visit her now.

When she came down to tell us that her fairy came, it was soooo early she scared the heck out of me, which scared the dogs so it was a rather loud wake up to her delighted squeals that "THE TOOTH FAIRY CAME...she came Mommy! Come see..."

I'm so excited for her.... a little bit sad too, I just can't believe how fast the time goes. I will say this though, I am having an absolute blast with her and hopefully creating some special memories!!

Birthday Boys!!

What a Birthday filled week!!! It has been awesome, Monday was Tami's birthday, Tuesday was Michael's birthday and Wednesday was my dad's birthday!!!

We had a boy birthday party and Mikayla helped me pick everything out...all of it the napkins, plates and cupcakes!

A trip to the zoo!!!

We had so much fun!!! Let me start by saying...OH MY GOSH it's HOT outside.... thank goodness we got some rain and a "cool front" it was only in the mid 90s instead of the high 90s LOL and humidity in the 80s instead of 90s so it was good!

We really had a great time.

Here Mikayla is posing with the smallest starfish ever....see the dot on the left.... yup, that's a teeny tiny starfish :)

Mikayla knew exactly where this tunnel was.... she was heading towards it before I even knew it was there, what a memory she has..... she remembered from the last time!

You wouldn't believe it...the day we were there......well the monkeys got loose......it was even on the news..... I was able to capture some pictures before they were corralled back up again - what a racket they made!!!! It was pretty frightening!!!

We saw the 4D Dora and Diego adventure, let me tell you this was my favorite part of the day and it had nothing to do with the fact it was inside and air conditioned, it was great fun finding the robot butterfly!

Feeding the giraffes was Mikayla's favorite part (after seeing Janet, she said that was her most favorite part of the day) she did think their tongues were "totally gross" though.

Afterwards, we went to lunch and re-hydrated and cooled off. What a FABULOUS day, thanks so much Janet, Mark and Bryce!!!!

Day Before Father's Day Saturday Fun

We attempted to go for a boat ride but believe it or not it was just too windy....we did go out for a little bit but it was going to be a LOT of work to hold her steady so we came back in. This is the first time Mikayla actually got scared on the the boat, she was afraid we were going to tip over, while we wouldn't tip over...the rails were in the water so it was just one of those days where it was going to be just oo much. So we came back in and headed over to the marina pool. We swam awhile and watched the boats go by from the pool, then we cleaned up and headed down to Galveston, we went to the Strand for dinner and ice cream afterwards. It was such a nice day!!!! Hot but soooo nice!!!

It was a great family date!!!! Mikayla really had a good time, she quickly fell asleep in the car on the way home, thankfully she already had her shower for the day so we could go home, put her jammies on and go straight to bed and that's exactly how it went. We really had a special day!!!

Father's Day Celebration

What a great weekend we had. I think Father's Day ended up very special for the two dad's in our lives!

Dad came over to our house around 2:30 or so, we had the chance to just relax and hang out for awhile. Then we went out to dinner and back to our house for a dessert that I made. It was soooo hot outside, we were going to grill but then we just decided to let someone else do the cooking and cleaning. It was great!!!

Dad was opening his gifts here, Mikayla is such a helper!!!!! She loves gifts, even if they're not hers.

Mikayla was "dressing" up Papa.... (notice the hat placement.....) she thought that was hysterical!!!

Here he's figured out that we're all going to a ball game together, Mikayla was just as excited about that as she was everything else....

We were watching my parents wedding pictures (on cd) and little miss passed out...she was even snoring..... we were out late on Saturday and up early on Sunday so I'm not surprised she fell asleep, she is such a dearie!!!

What a great and special Father's Day we had!!

Who knew....

Well I'm sure we knew but now we really know!! Little girls really do have a LOT of hair accessories.... well I wanted to find a way and a place to put it all....so I came up with a simple fix to help contain it.

This is what we started with. Some ribbon, buttons and thread.

Mikayla helped me sew the buttons on...and we made a holder for the hair goodies. It's working out pretty well so far :) and I got my drawer back!

Mikayla was very into our little project! She is quite the little crafter although I think she had more fun hanging the stuff on there then actually sewing the buttons on. She's pretty proud of it though.
