Merry Christmas!!

Our Breakfast with Santa

Mikayla's school was having Santa come and have breakfast so we wanted breakfast with Santa...and Mikayla had been practicing what she was going to tell him she would like, she was going to make sure that he knew where she lived, and was generally going to have a great conversation with him.




Well.........she was deathly afraid of him! She wouldn't even go to him....I totally had to bribe her to get these pictures....

Well it really is cold here - well cold for here!! We still had to take some pictures in spite of it. Little Miss had fun running around even though it was cold!

Rememberance Tree Ceremony

Sunday was the Rememberance Tree Ceremony at my dad's church. It was pretty emotional for me this year for some reason. This is such a touching service... it's really nice to take the time out of the busy everyday life to do nothing but remember them.... to remember them and be thankful that we had them while we did....... and how we wish they still were with us.

I will always love how everyone who comes, comes to celebrate someone and it really helps to have people know that our lost ones matter, they really do matter and they were important, still are important.

I'm really missing my momma and sissy..... I wish they were here.

SNOW!!!! and an interview with a 4 year old :)

Snow and freezing temperatures in Houston, sooooo awesome!!! Really brings the holiday spirit into play even though it's going to be mid 70s by next week but we'll enjoy it when we can. Yay!!! She was making lots of snowballs :)

Just a quick note, we all need to be careful of ear inflections ;)

100 Year Celebration

Today we celebrated Grandma's 100th birthday. Her "real" birthday is in a couple of weeks but we wanted to celebrate it all together when everyone was here for Thanksgiving. It really was special. She was so touched, we were all so touched. There were a lot of tears today - happy tears though.

Grandma right before the birthday song..... she is such an amazing woman. We did catch some glimpses of the woman she used to be. We are all pretty blessed to come from such a special woman.

She was touched.... she even cried.... making every woman in the vicinity cry too.... such a touching moment. We are all better people for knowing her!
