A VERY special thank you!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Little Miss Mikayla was soooo happy, she got some of her very own mail today!!! It was such a super nice suprise!! Thank you Janet!!!!! She was hugging the book and just kept saying "thank you" she even had to take it to bed with her. For as hard as she was hugging the book, I think she was hugging you!

When she saw the special note and picture inside..... you would have thought she had just found the moon!!!!! Thank you so much for making Mikayla soooo happy!! You are so thoughtful!

My Birthday Boys!!!

Sunday and Monday are Michael and Dad's birthdays. So we got together to have a little bithday celebration. Mikayla had sooooo much fun too, we made ice cream cone cupcakes and had some presents a great dinner and even better company!

Sweet Summer Treat ......

I haven't seemed to have much crafting time this month but I managed to squeek in this layout tonight. I was just really needing to play with some paper. These pictures were taken just two weeks ago and have been calling for me to do something with them. This is what I came up with.

Father's Day :)

We really had a great time on Sunday, it was very special. Both of them loved and appreciated their gifts - both bought and made. We headed over to dad's house and had a fantastic dinner and it was great to be there and together!! Here are the two guys that mean the world to me.

Wow - I can't belive this happened already......now if she'll just keep running for another 100,000 and not cost us as much as the first 100,000 did...LOL

Some summer fun!!

Michael's cousin came into town and we are all able to get together. Cousin Shirley looks great and announced she has joind the "cougar" club.....

Mario came......

We were sponsoring a local swim team at the restaurant and "Mario" came to visit...... what does "Mario" have to do with any of it..... absolutely nothing LOL - It was the only costume Michael could find on short notice... so Mario went on the streets and handed out coupons (completely unrelated to the party) LOL.

We decorated with balloons and made discount cards for all members of the swim team and our little party was a huge success. Everyone stayed for over two hours and just really had a good time. We want them to have us host their end of year party so hopefully we made a good impression - keep your fingers crossed.

The love of a little girl

I don't know why but the day Mikayla did this, my heart was so touched.... the love of a child is truly amazing. While this isn't a huge deal... it really meant something to me. We were out finding some garage sales to find the "deal of a life time" and at this one house there was this little, beat up, neglected, filthy dirty baby doll... complete with nasty nappy hair and all that had definitely been cast aside for a long time. Mikayla saw her and was carrying her around the sale while I was looking around, well she just absolutely fell in love with her. I really didn't want to buy her but being she loved her and it was a garage sale... I figured why not. So we bought her and promptly went to Walmart to buy the new dolly an outfit because the clothes she was wearing were even filthy and worn out. So we picked out a new outfit and went home and got to work right away cleaning this little doll up.

Mikayla is so incredibly happy to have this new baby doll but to me it showed me her true character.... she picked out something that everyone before us had passed up... wanted to give her some TLC and a new lease on life and is doing just that.

So for this little doll ..... she got the deal of a life time.

Such fun days!

Imagine this.... this picture is what we look like under sail..... if it was us and our boat... LOL our boat isn't blue and is a little bigger than this one but .... aren't sail boats beautiful! It is so awesome, I hope that at least once....everyone could have an incredibly awesome sailing experience.

I'm a little behind so here are two weekends....

We have been able to go get in some boating fun. I love how Mikayla loves going there to "her" boat.

Wonder who is driving this bad boy, the captain is up on deck..... LOL

She is so comfortable that she will usually fall asleep in the great outdoors (of course I'm nearby to make sure everything stays safe for her)

I'm forever trying to capture how incredibly awesome the pelicans are. Here is one of my attempts. They fly so low and close to the water. I love watching them dive too.

Here is my best gal!! She is so much fun these days - full of laughter!!!

She loves putting sunblock on anyone that will let her, here she is lathering her Papa with sunblock - spf 50 in our world!

After our boat ride, we have to get some sea shells....

We had a fantastic outing!!! Can't wait to do it again.
