Nutcracker on Ice

Some of Mikayla's classmates take ice skating lessons, so to surprise her, I got us tickets to go see their Nutcracker performance.

 

 

I know the picture below is weird....but you can see our reflection in the glass and look at how darn TALL she is!!  She is right about how tall my mom was!!!!

It was a lot of fun, during the second half, Mikayla poked me and asked what in the world the ice dancing they were doing had to do with the Nutcracker.... I said, I have no idea!  HA!!

School Program!

Mikayla had her school program last week and it was fun!!  I really think that her school is doing an amazing job - especially considering that they are a 1st year brand new school.  From the parental side, I wouldn't ever even know it was the first year.

 

Anyway, Mikayla's class sang two songs in French.  So they were allowed to wear Christmas wear or French attire... so this is the best I could come up with.

Ahhhhh it was so nice!!  Next year our little school will be more than double in size. Literally!!!  It's an amazing place to be!

 

I've been helping the teachers out a little bit and have LOVED every second of it.

I was playing around with my new phone camera.  I love these pictures.  Little missy is so much fun, so expressive, dramatic when necessary, always posing, always dancing, always singing.

A Santa look back

I can't believe how fast the time is going!!!!  Really -  how is it possible?

Our visit with Santa

We (meaning me) decided we wanted to go somewhere different to see Santa this year, last year I got spoiled because he came to our neighborhood club house and this year they couldn't get it set up (I am totally considering how to help them do that next year)....

 

So we went to Bass Pro to see what that was like.....

The wait to see him OH HOLY MOLY!!!  It was almost a 4 hour yes HOUR wait to see him.  We didn't have to be there the whole time waiting but even though we were waiting while not there it seemed like the whole day was spent waiting!  it was CRAZY there!!  but she's happy and that makes me happy!!!

 

She is also obsessed with nutcrackers this year!
