Hows that for a random title.... LOL - lets start with the Pouty, this is dedicated to Daddy and Papa.... (she's practicing for when she "needs" something) seriously - how do you say no, now as her mother I say no all the time but the men in her life.... well they have a harder time LOL

Brochure.... now... for anyone who has seen as many boat brochures, boating websites, and flyer's as I have...these are marketable photos...LOL (I was playing around with my super zoom camera lens)

The sunset was amazing - it was truly beautiful!!! I love watching the sun set.... it's fun to capture it - and heck why not with a super zoom lens LOL

Santa Baby!!!

Well Mikayla has been looking forward to seeing Santa for a long time now!! She went right to him, she didn't even get "star
struck" like she usually does.

They had a really nice conversation, she told him she planned to leave him three cookies and food for the reindeer, he thought that was a nice idea. She thanked him for the nice email he sent her - he said oh you saw that did you.... she was pleased about that and then she wanted to make sure he wasn't too hot in his coat when he was inside, he said no he was just fine, he's used to having to wear it. Then she asked if she could have two pillow pets... a bumble bee one and a unicorn one.... and if Santa could work it out a 2nd bumble bee one for her dad. She's such a sweetie!!!

Our Christmas Angel

We had Mikayla's church program on Friday. It was so much fun, she was all kinds of jazzed up about it.... we had a few costume malfunctions...her wings were tight (which I reused from her very first Halloween....back in 2006.....) and her halo kept falling into her face and covering her eyes, at one point she was just looking out through the halo part like it was a telescope!! It was way too funny! I'm literally laughing out loud just thinking about it. She did a great job though, she knew her songs! I'm so proud of her!




I'm not at all sure why she made this face...... she is such a poser!!!

As a mother, it's our prerogative to thoroughly enjoy these types of programs, you can't really hear that well, there is the child that is SCREAMING the songs... there is the mass confusion trying to get 300+ 3-6 year olds to participate, pay attention and sing..... but it's our prerogative to thoroughly enjoy every single solitary second of this because our babies are up in front of a large crowd (I'm certain there were over 2000 people there - the church has seats for 2700 and it wasn't quite full but close enough) and sing and just be proud to be a part of something big.... I know that I am so proud of her!!!!

Big Girl Bed Room!!

Well we did a mini room remodel for Mikayla this weekend, we set up a new bed frame (well new to her) with new mattresses and new bedding and getting bumped up to a "full size" bed now!! I picked out the bedding to match the room so that we don't have to repaint quite yet. I can't believe how well it all pulled together!!! Mikayla LOVES it!!!! I do too :) It was a fun little surprise for her. (The flower valances my mom, sister and I made for the nursery before Mikayla was even born....what are the odds that I could find a comforter set to match?)

Here is a video of "the reveal" it was sooooo funny, I told Michael to knock on the door when she was there so I could get the camera ready. So he knocks on the door....I get ready and have video rolling..... the funny thing is that they weren't there yet (they were on the way)..... so there's a healthy 30+seconds of just me and an empty room on the camera........ LOL

Christmas found my Dad's house!!!

Dad's house is decorated to the hilt!!! It's amazing, it looks so beautiful! Mikayla had a BLAST being the "snow" lady, he let her take the bags of loose "snow" and decorate then decorate again with snow glitter...she is offically the snow lady now! I said NO way to that being done at my house LOL

The Department 56 Village...I'm certain he's kept some people gainfully employeed..... it's amazing to see the village in action, lights-camera-action going on in there!!! Comes complete with a football stadium and waterfalls....

It's really hard to pick out what is my favorite "attraction" at his house, I do know that the Angel wall is very special though, my sister begged and begged for the angels that surround the fireplace, so my dad bought them for her, unfortunately she never got to see them put up on the angel wall because she became an angel herself..... so he puts these up each year just for her.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Good friends and family...great food...beautiful environment. Mikayla had so much fun, she is a very tired little girl, I have never seen her so wound up and excited and tired and bursting with joy all at the same time!!!
