Curls!!!

Here is the little miss getting ready for Thanksgiving - her hair does respond better to a curling iron but this sure was fun!!!

Christmas found my Dad's house!!!

Dad's house is decorated to the hilt!!! It's amazing, it looks so beautiful! Mikayla had a BLAST being the "snow" lady, he let her take the bags of loose "snow" and decorate then decorate again with snow glitter...she is offically the snow lady now! I said NO way to that being done at my house LOL

The Department 56 Village...I'm certain he's kept some people gainfully employeed..... it's amazing to see the village in action, lights-camera-action going on in there!!! Comes complete with a football stadium and waterfalls....

It's really hard to pick out what is my favorite "attraction" at his house, I do know that the Angel wall is very special though, my sister begged and begged for the angels that surround the fireplace, so my dad bought them for her, unfortunately she never got to see them put up on the angel wall because she became an angel herself..... so he puts these up each year just for her.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Good friends and family...great food...beautiful environment. Mikayla had so much fun, she is a very tired little girl, I have never seen her so wound up and excited and tired and bursting with joy all at the same time!!!

It was a wonderful day and now I'm so sad that it's all over with, Christmas is fast approaching!!!! Are you ready? I'm not!!!!

We managed to get in some boat time this weekend, it was a little chilly (well chilly for us) when we started but it seemed to warm up the closer to evening we got. It is so much fun to have Michael's mom back! We miss her when she's gone!!!

Thanksgiving Feast!!

Today was Mikayla's Thanksgiving Feast at school....she dressed me up as a turkey! LOL




She was soooo excited to perform for us

It is so fun to see how excited the kids get about their parents coming to see them at school.

It was truly a wonderful feast.... :)

Princess Dreams.....

For Mikayla's birthday gift from Michael and me, we gave her Disney Princess on Ice tickets.... OH MY GOSH - she couldn't believe it, when we gave it to her, we told her that she was going to see all the princesses that very day!!! All she could do was sit there with her mouth open...then she screamed ARE YOU KIDDING ME.... and the noise began, we quick changed out of our church clothing and got straight into princess mode!!!! I am SO glad she didn't know we were going until about 30 minutes before we had to leave!! It was such a fun surprise to give her.





There was such a neat section set up, they hand the "real" princess dresses in a mini set for everyone to take pictures with, the costumes were roped off but it was still really neat to see.

Here she is pointing to a movie star!!!!!!! My child totally has my "star struck" affliction, she was scared to go closer to her...... who do you think it is?

Who else but Mikayla's very own identity!!!!!!!! (I have a funny about Mikayla's play acting, one day she was, of course, dressed up as Cinderella and was in the kitchen.... on the floor, with a bottle of Windex humming one of Cinderella's songs while cleaning the floor....just like in the movie.... LOL) anyway back to the real Cinderella..... here she is and she's every bit as beautiful as Mikayla KNEW she was!

Then we went to our seats!! They were fantastic seats - 7th row :) we could see everything!

This next one was the highlight of Mikayla's entire experience..... It was the Cinderella segment....

They started with the Ball and Mikayla introduced me to her Prince Charming when he came out!

Here is her Cinderella!!! (Mikayla was so happy and excited at this point she was almost crying which in turn made me almost cry...)

It was an amazing experience, I hope she always remembers it and how much fun we had going there. Here she graciously posed for a picture for me..... she got to pick out a souvenir (a Cinderella barbie doll) and so did I... .I got to get this picture in a frame!

I KNOW this was a magical day for me, I am sure it was for her too.....For this day, all of her Princess Dreams came true.
