Last day of 5th Grade!

Oh my gosh!!!  How is the school year finished already.  Mikayla has grown in SO many ways this year.  She is SO smart and witty and funny! She has worked very hard - at this point it's hard to remember the struggles to get the work done because she always got it done.

Here is a look back at her other last day of school days.

Beginning of 5th.....

Today started with our traditional photo shoot outside documenting the last day of school.

She won two awards one for excellent attendance and the other for honor roll!  I am a proud momma.

Beginning of the school and end of the year..... she definitely grew and changed!!!!

Mother's Day

Ohhhh it was AMAZING!!!  It was absolutely everything I wanted it to be.  We had such a great day.

 

We went for a nice drive to pick up Mikayla's summer project (I bought it from a family on Craigslist), then we were able to scoot over to Katie's piece of paradise!! 

 

OH MY GOSH!  it was so nice and so fun just to be there.  We have a whole new area of Texas to explore now!

It was seriously AWESOME! Just such a good feeling to have such a good feeling!  Ya know!!  We can't wait to go again!!!

Oh what fun this has been.  The school asked me if I would head the decorating committee for the school dance.  The first one they have ever had!

and.... OH MY that is a HUGE room... it's approximately 13,000 square feet of HUGENESS!

Hello decorating party of 2.... Katie and I didn't want extra hands to "mess up" our program.  One other mother said pleassseeee so ok, and then we had one lady not make it...so decorating team of 3!

 

I had 1 1/2 weeks to get it all together on a wicked tight budget....

 

So we had a bunch of projects going.   Pineapples for décor....sure!

Oh my loves.... my love of the pineapple.... is it silly oh yes.... but is it amazing... OH YES!  (each leaf was hand painted with love)

whew - one week of frantic cutting/clipping/gluing making madness!  whew....

This was one of our biggest ventures yet..... I would LOVE to be a party planner..... sign me up!!!

 

(They have already asked us to do ALL of the dance décor!!)  YIKES and a lot of YAY!!!
