Easter Eggs

I LOVE the tradition of dying Easter Eggs!!! Here is the pile of eggs we started with. I'm always a bit sad when it's all done.






















I LOVE doing this each year.... Mikayla loves doing it too!! The men just go along with it.... the video cracks me up....Mikayla and I are all "into" our project and the guys are talking about going to the store and what's for supper LOL!!!

Face Painting Adventures

This weekend Mikayla and I went and worked at Dad's church festival. We had a great time but man o man was it busy. He and I were running the face painting booth!! I brought my big ol camera....I intended to take pictures...but alas, this is the only picture I got and it's with my phone because I was too busy to remember to take pictures....whoopsie.

We estimate we each painted at least 100-125 faces/arms/hands EACH in about 3 hours.... here is a picture of my first job of the day!!

Super Star

I just KNOW Mikayla will one day be a super star..... she already has stars in her eyes....(or on them) LOL

46 Years

WOW, if my mom were still alive, my parents would have been married for 46 years on 4/10/2011. Isn't that awesome!!!

We went and changed the flowers at the cemetary. Such a beautiful day outside.... if she were still here we would have had a party to celebrate, we would have made it a really special day. As it was, we still had a special day and a nice time and just enjoyed being together.

I know that they are a terrific example of what I want in my life

I recognize what an accomplishment a marraige like theirs is/was

I know that I am who I am because of them

I am so thankful they are my parents

Easter is on the way

We had some time before church and little miss went for a photo shoot (I'm not one to pass up an opportunity you know) LOL Here she is.

We put out a few Easter decorations. I painted the bunny plate and chicky plate below - so fun to get them out each year.

The wreath behind Mikayla is special because SHE made it!! I'm so proud of her, she loves that I love the stuff she makes. (that is why she was willing to pose for me) LOL

She's a crafty one I tell you!!!! It makes me so happy!!!
