Rodeo days and Lady A

Here we are on our way into the rodeo, we took the bus and man o man was there a lot of traffic. We finally made it! YAY!!! Little miss was all decked out in denim and her cowgirl boots! She was feeling fine!!!! We walked forever and a day to get into the stadium but it was all good!!

Once inside she LOVED all aspects of the rodeo except for the calf roping, she did NOT like that at all, she was very worried about the poor baby cows.... but we saw some of this...

and this....

here is a close up of the picture above....kiddo hanging on for dear life

AND THEN!!!!!!! just when she thought the excitement had settled down... NOT even close, she knew we were going to see Lady Antebellum.... she was waiting... We saw some of these....

When she saw this.... she was just screaming with anticipation (as were 69,999 other people)!!! The lights went out...... and the stage lit up!

AND THERE THEY WERE!!!!!! We weren't as familiar with their opening song as some of the others but it didn't matter.....jumping and dancing took place!!

When her favorite song came on..... I actually think it was everyone's favorite song, the crowd went WILD (Mikayla included)!!! My dad leaned over to me and said.... this must be their most popular song....hee hee.... it was crazy. Charles (lead male) (yes we're on a first name basis) kept saying how awesome it was to be singing in front of 70,000 people and he wanted all of us to sing to them.... you KNOW we were some of the singers....

We had such an amazing time, I can't wait to see them perform again. Here she is after the show, keeping in mind it's now almost 2 1/2 hours past her normal bed time.... she is jacked up!!!!!

a serious pose....

Always time to goof off :)

struttin her stuff!!!!

Always time for a quick dance/twirls too

She stayed up till after midnight...wow... I think that I earned a gold star for the bad mommy book by doing that but it was for her...(well me too...and Nana...Papa...Daddy....) and since she had so much fun.... maybe just a silver star....right?

Here we are the next day on the boat.... we did a little photo shoot of our cowgirl. Tell me...seriously, does she look only 5 to you?? She's growing up so fast on me...boo!!!!

Have a great week!!!! Our next adventure...tent camping next week.... sure hope the weather cooperates!
