Ahhhhh Boaty Boat!!!

We were able to take some time and go down to the boat. She got a good scrubbing and we went out for a ride!  It was amazing!!!

Weather was perfect!  Water was perfect!  Wind was perfect!!!

Dare I say it was perfect....well yes...actually I do, it was an amazing day!  In fact...it was so amazing we didn't get home until about 10:30pm...and we got up for church at 5:00 the next morning - easy for us grown ups, and not too bad for Mikayla either :)

Michael got a hold of the camera this time because Mikayla and I were driving.  He did a great job!

Little miss had herself a GREAT day too!!  I think she's a night owl like her parents are... she did great for being out so late and up so early.

Easter Memories

Awwwww I can't believe my baby has grown up so much!!!!   The pictures below are all of her Easter celebrations so far.

Happy Easter

What an incredibly exciting day we had!!  IT.WAS.AWESOME.!   Mikayla makes it SO fun to do things for her and with her!

We got up (in the dark) to go to 7:00 am church and when we got home, the Easter bunny came.

She and I were picking up in the house when all of a sudden, the door bell rang!!  She was SOOOOO excited!!!  So we ran to the door, cautiously opened it up.....

HE CAME!!!!!

She ran down the driveway to see if she could see him....whew he is FAST and long gone!!!!

SOOO EXCITED!!!!

He left some eggs for her to find too.

My beautiful girl!

Here she is looking through the goodies in her basket.

My dad painted her an AWESOME mermaid box.... I want it!!

Then we met up with the Easter Bunny!

After lunch we walked around the grounds..and me being the mean mommy that I am.... bribed her.. .I said if you give me some pictures, I'll let you have a piece of candy from your basket LOL - so guess what, I got some pictures!!!

I love this Sassy Girl!!!!

BUNNY says HI

Bunny says HI!!  I LOVE Easter decorations, she is my new addition for this year.

Last night we did our annual Easter egg dying :)  it was so much fun!!!!

Of course my dad got roped into the action!

We had some fun kits this year, something just a little different, stamping on the eggs and rolling paint with miniature paint rollers...totally cool!

Mikayla was giving me "the eye" it means, quit taking pictures mom!

We were able to get the eggs done while dinner was baking so after dinner, my dad always reads Mikayla a book.  So here they are for story time.  (funny thing is that Michael and I are also quiet so we can hear the story too)

Happy Egging everyone!!!!

School work

I absolutely love seeing how Mikayla is growing and changing throughout the school year.  It's AMAZING.  Here is a sample of what she did in religion class.

And as sweet as the above letter is, the below is hilarious!!!  I have NO idea where she came up with this one!!!  I would LOVE to read what all the kids said on this one.

I LOVE it!!!!!

Nothing that some spray paint can't cure!

Gosh, I just love to spray paint stuff and change how it looks!!!  I started my "do over" project in the bathroom this weekend and wow... everything I did in there was not only a do over but had to be done over!!  All the way from just clearing out the room to cleaning up the roller tray full of paint...after it was dropped on the floor.... yes, paint splattered and puddled everywhere, I should have taken a picture of that oops but I didn't think of that in the heat of the moment (it cleaned up so good, you'd never know that even happened).  I am terrible at remembering to take "before" pictures, so I was very proud of myself for remembering to do it this time!

Here is where we started (it is very hard to take a picture of this room...) (I didn't even hide the kid tub toys LOL) it is roughly a 12ish x 12ish room with a tub and shower on one wall and the vanity/toilet on the other... nothing in the middle.

Now don't get mad, I don't have any "formal" after pictures yet, because it's not done.  So more to come, however, I do have this 1/2 of the "do over".  This is a mirror my dad tells me that he and my mom got about 45 years ago.  It was brassy/gold and well.... has been hiding in the garage for the last 8+ years.  So the good news is that I found a place for it to reside now :)

here is the before.

And the after.

Here is the picture frame that also got a "do over"  (see... again I forgot to do a good before picture but at least I remembered to do an after the before but not too late to be the after picture)

And the after

So that's where we are now, quite a few more projects to do in here.  I do swear that I painted the whole room also, but it's not showing up very good on these...I'll try to do better with lighting and all that next time around.
