We went to see a brand new baby this weekend and his mommy graciously let Mikayla hold him for awhile. She was incredibly fascinated with him and didn't want to take turns holding him. So she was talking to me while holding him, saying "we don't have one of these at home" and with all of the seriousness a 3 year old can muster, she has never been so serious in all of her life, she tells me "Momma, we have got to go buy one of these!"
It was all we could do to not laugh and let her know what she said was SOOOO funny but her request was incredibly heartfelt. She was so serious though and so ready to go to the store and pick one up. If only it were that easy. She really loves Baby Tyler though. She held him, she kissed him, she rubbed him, she sang to him - her ABCs and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I absolutely adore when she sings that song, it melts my heart.
It was a great visit!!! Although nothing makes my baby look bigger than holding a baby... wow!!! She's gigantic, was she ever that little!!!
