Beach Days!

What a GREAT day we had... we got up early to head down to the beach to meet our friends! Before we left... Michael and Mikayla gave me some birthday presents... this is one of them!! YAY!!! I can't wait till we can all go riding together! Fun times ahead for sure!! (I have since discovered that Mikayla needs a new bike too...she sure could slow down on getting so tall so fast!)

Then we headed out. It seemed to take forever to get there it was a long ride but I think us being anxious to get there made it take even longer!!

We rode the ferry for the first time!!! It was awesome - I can't believe how many cars the ferry can hold!!! Here we are getting ready to drive on to it...

all loaded up!

We got out and walked around for awhile - and GUESS WHAT WE SAW!!!

TONS of dolphins!! It was awesome, they were jumping out of the water and playing and generally having a great time and giving us a great show!! It was fabulous!!! Mikayla was beside herself!!

Then we were back on land....

FINALLY!!!! We found our friends!!

Here are the kiddos playing - we were all to busy for a formal picture so this will just have to do ;)

They really had a good time together! It was soooo great!!!

I LOVED riding the waves!! We spent a LOT of time out in the water!

This is Little Miss on the way back home.... she fell asleep while "writing" in her journal - she slept all the way back home...ahhh now that's a good day!!! We can't wait to meet up with everyone again!

10 Pandas and a Wedding

How's that for a weird header :) well I wanted to do something fun with Mikayla's nails this weekend...so here is attempt #1 (not final) for giving her 10 panda friends. :) She LOVED them, she cried when I was taking them off (she can't have nail polish at school). So until we meet again little friends.

Here is Little Miss just before we left for the wedding. One of Mikayla's favorite teachers is getting married!!

Seriously - such a poser!

I love weddings!!

Here the kids are waiting for the dancing to begin at the "party" I think this little man is getting ready to make a move on M.... what do you think? Sorry guy - she says she's going to marry Mitchell...you'll have to take it up with him.... (notice the shoes off - ready to boogie!)

Cake time!!

Miss Lauren and Mikayla! I'm 100% certain the affection is felt both ways!!

Mikayla did the dollar dance with Lauren..... THREE times!! She didn't want to dance with the groom.... LOL

If you look at the high center of the picture - you'll see Lauren's bouquet flying... Mikayla is clearly interested in catching it :) LOL!!!

We had a GREAT time!!! We love Lauren so and are so happy we could share her special day!!

Aerial's in the house!

We went to a birthday party this weekend and Aerial came to visit. Mikayla was SOOOOOO into Aerial - I couldn't believe it. She believes to her very heart of hearts this was the real Aerial!!!

It was awesome! I'm so happy she got so much joy from seeing her.

Mikayla dressed up as Jasmine and Aerial told her that Jasmine was one of her very best friends....that made Mikayla's whole day!!!

She read the girls a story.

Gave them some make up and pixy dust that her friend Tinker Bell gave her.

she danced with them...

Played Sleeping Beauty....

did a conga line.....

Posed outside by the pool.

It was just one of those moments that changed Mikayla.... she just really believes she met her... and it makes her SO happy - her heart sings for sure!!

THE TOOTH FAIRY CAME!!!! COME SEE!!!!

THE TOOTH FAIRY CAME is what we were awakened with at 1:27 AM!!!!! Little Miss was SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited. Before bed, we had a lengthy discussion about the Tooth Fairy, we read her letter from last time (several times) and then she decided she was going to stay awake and watch for her. But I guess she fell asleep when she came and at exactly 1:27 AM she woke herself up to check.....

Yawn!!

So here she is at 1:28 AM...... she was sooooo incredibly excited...she was beside herself, she was seriously dancing and jumping and singing and we were trying to peel our eyes open LOL

So here are our clearly unprepared for and un-posed pictures of the visit from the Tooth Fairy.

Fairy dust all over ;) she was dancing in Mikayla's room again I think!

Here is her little door, Mikayla and I were trying to figure out how tall she is... She thinks as tall as the whole doorway, I think a bit shorter than that... (she even left dust there too). She also writes the date on the door.

Awwwww I really love the excitement... of course I really help build it up but heck.... why not!!!

Even this morning when we were getting ready for work/school, when I read her new note from the fairy.... she was still giddy about it!

Ahhhhh the memories are priceless!!!!! Truly we have the Magic of the Tooth Fairy at our house!!!!

Snaggletooth

I tell you, we have been waiting quite literally for several week for loose tooth number 2 to fall out.... it has been very literally hanging on by a thread.... but we couldn't quit convince M that we needed to pull it out....

Here is her picture with that darn tooth (lower front right).

WELL much to our surprise and hers..... see picture below

It FINALLY came out this morning!!!!! She did her mouthwash like normal...and was brushing her teeth and then said OHHHHHH I GOT MY TOOTH OUT!!!!! Of course we came running and sure enough!!!! WOW SOOOOOOO the tooth fairy comes tonight, I wonder what color gown she'll have on tonight!!!! (what a great way to start the day - the tooth AND her bangs are finally long enough to go back in the braid YAY) (it's the little things...LOL)

I can't wait till tonight!!!!! :) More pics to come!

Open House at School!

Last night we were getting ready to go to Mikayla's first PTO meeting and Open House at school. As we were leaving and getting ready to jump in the car...this little gal came and friended us :)

It turns out she escaped from the neighbors back yard so we put her in our back yard and gave them a call. Mikayla calls her Sally but her name is really Lucy :) isn't that cute!!

In her class room - OH MY GOODNESS, she was so excited to show us absolutely everything from the "real" stuff to the invisible stuff too. I saw her work area, her butterfly, her mail box, her pixy dust, the play area, the work chart area, the bins...you name it - we saw it!

We really had a good time. Here she is showing me her "pixy dust" when she accumulates enough "dust" she can trade it for small prizes.

Here is her "human" they were doing anatomy and here is her person with all their insides and she can tell you all about it.

The real highlight for me though, was talking with her teacher. I had to send an email last week to her teacher and part of what she wrote me back is this "Mikayla is a wonderful student, and she is doing great at everything (all subjects and following directions)! She is a joy!"

Isn't that awesome!!!

Well when I was talking to her teacher yesterday, she told me that Mikayla is the sweetest student she's ever had. She is so helpful and so generous, always follows directions and the little boy that sits across from her needs help with his studies and Mikayla is always doing just that, she reaches right across and shows him or tries to help him with his work (especially in writing and math). The teacher also said that the other day, she saw Mikayla holding the hand of a little 3 year old girl and was walking her down the hall to wherever she needed to go..... so sweet!!!

I'm so proud of her and the way she has adjusted to her new school. This has by far been the easiest transition EVER that we've had. I hope and pray that she continues thriving and loving her new school.

Tea for Two

After Mikayla's first day of school she and I went and had a tea party!! This restaurant is so cute and is set up for kids to have some "pink" tea (aka - pink lemonade). She had SOOOOOO much fun - next time we go, I am getting my drink in a tea pot too. I absolutely love doing things like this with Mikayla - to see the wonder through her eyes. We have been having "tea" every day with dinner in the miniature tea set we have but this really rocked her world! LOL

So we came here after her 1/2 day of school - I thought she needed a special treat, she has asked multiple times to come back. We will little girl...we will!!!
