Happy Halloween!

What fun we've had this year!!!  This was a totally hectic week but yay we've all made it!!  Mikayla had four different dress up sessions.  The first was for Fancy Dancy (for dance class at school).  She wore one of my old dance costumes for that one. 

 

Then she dressed up as the Good Witch of the South using her dance costume from last year paired with some new tights and a hat... YAY!!

 

Then she dressed up as Bat Girl for school.  Normally the kids don't get to dress up but this year they did if the classes picked a theme, so all of 2nd grade was a super hero.  So I made her outfit with a template and some felt.

 

Then it is All Saints Day at school and she dressed up as Mary.  Phew!  We did have a melt down about Baby Jesus though-she wanted to swaddle him in a pink and white blanket...and well that just can't be done... but we worked it out.

We went to my dad's church festival and had a blast!

 

 

Katie and Tyler came too, the balloon below was harmed in this event but then it was supposed to be popped and Tyler bless his heart couldn't get that sucker!!  So Katie stepped in and struggled to get it too but she worked it out and got the job done!!  HA!

Here is our now happy Mother Mary.  We got so flustered when trying to get out of the house that we forgot her breakfast, her snack, and her water for the day.  So we stopped along the way at stop number one for breakfast, they were only accepting cash and well I don't typically carry cash (need to change that) so I wasted 4 precious minutes with nothing to show for it, then we stopped at another place and she got a croissant sandwich with orange juice for breakfast, a doughnut for snack and a bottle of water... PHEW.... anyway, I hope her day is going better than it started!

 

 

 

 

PHEW!!!  This momma is tired from the week!  It'll be good to have the weekend to regroup and recover from this overload.

 

Oh and a short brag...sorry about this... all costumes for the week were done for less than $30!  (Fancy Dancy - free, Witch bought tights and hat, Bat Girl -used what I had and bought felt for $7.67 and Mary - used what we had and only had to buy 1 1/2 yards of blue fabric!  Total SCORE!!!
